Stitch 'n Dye: May 2007
http://stitch-n-dye.blogspot.com/2007_05_01_archive.html
Dyeing, knitting, textile and craft adventures. Tuesday, May 01, 2007. Colours to Dye for. Pt 4 - I achieve my Holy Grail. There is a little story to my aubergine:. When we as a team resorted our final samples after our marathon sample dyeing exercises, we had one missing. We'd pressed them all and sorted into order. Can you imagine how happy I was. I know had a recipe for Aubergine and I understood why I had not acheived it before. Carol, THANK YOU. Tuesday, May 01, 2007. Some oranges and yellows etc et...

Let's talk Stash: Retreating, UK-style
http://letstalkstash.blogspot.com/2009/03/retreating-uk-style.html
A blog highlighting fiber pursuits of all kinds, and even some finished objects once in a while. Friday, March 27, 2009. I just got back a couple of days ago from attending SkipNorth, a retreat that takes place in Haworth, Yorkshire, England. I last went 2 years ago, and missed it last year because of a guild event here at home. This year was therefore my second time, but the fourth for the retreat. Yorkshire is a county with lots of sheep-. An additional activity was added to the program this year, a sw...

Getting warmer: March 2007
http://mravalzhamier.blogspot.com/2007_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, March 10, 2007. Hello, I'm still here. Work has been very busy, and I've also joined a gym after the physiotherapist suggested I did something to strengthen my arms and shoulders. He suggested yoga, pilates or swimming and as this women-only gym at the bottom of my road does all three it seemed a good idea though a great big extra expense. I already get quite. A lot of exercise walking the dog, and now I'm going swimming most days as well. Last but not least I've (almost) made a proper sock!

Getting warmer: August 2011
http://mravalzhamier.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 30, 2011. I know some of my old knitting blogpals still have links to this blog, though I've let it go to rack and ruin. Although I'm still knitting, I've become more interested in taking pictures of the countryside. Not high-end photography, you understand - just snaps with my rather fancy new phone. So in case anyone's interested, I've started a new photoblog. Thursday, August 25, 2011. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). A few favourite knitting blogs. Damn, Knit and Blast It.

Getting warmer: More countryside
http://mravalzhamier.blogspot.com/2008/09/more-countryside.html
Friday, September 19, 2008. Just a few more walkies pics. I know to other people who have lived in the country for years these probably aren't very interesting. Sorry. A few favourite knitting blogs. Damn, Knit and Blast It. I dream of the sea. Does a badger knit in the woods? The Knitting Princess and the Pea. Lions in the high street.

Getting warmer: June 2007
http://mravalzhamier.blogspot.com/2007_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 21, 2007. I hate this picture, despite the cherries and hollyhocks - I look like a mean (and shapeless) person. But felt I had to show you that I'd done some knitting and finished the jumper . I hope one day I will graduate to proper, designed garments knitted from real patterns but for now I still enjoy just making a back, front and two sleeves from interesting yarn and sewing them all together. I made another pair of socks though, which I'm wearing right now. There's a little interview i...

Getting warmer: November 2007
http://mravalzhamier.blogspot.com/2007_11_01_archive.html
Saturday, November 17, 2007. It's for Ketevan, a woman I stayed with in Tbilisi for a week in October. I've been messing around with a couple of other things - one is a fairisle sampler which I'm making up as I go along. It's a tube, and the original idea was for a tubular scarf as Elizabeth Zimmerman suggests. It will be an extremely warm scarf though, as on the patterns bits there will be four thicknesses of wool. The yarn is jumper weight from Jamieson and Smith. Wool in my stash. It's not really ...
