Lucy's Log: February 2006
http://lucymeade.blogspot.com/2006_02_01_archive.html
An account of my life! Monday, February 27, 2006. The truism that "a picture is worth a thousand words" certainly rings with truth (even the English major in me, who argues that some words are worth a thousand pictures, can say that! And in our world, film has a power to tell a story - true or twisted - that we need to be paying attention to. I hope many budding missionaries and filmmakers at Urbana will be encouraged and equipped to tell the right stories in powerful, truthful ways. We'll see! I am a lo...

Lucy's Log: April 2006

An account of my life! Wednesday, April 26, 2006. A friend sent me this quote yesterday. I find it very amusing (and appropriate, perhaps, to me). Why say in a few small words what can be said in many large ones? It is preferential to refrain from the utilization of grandiose verbiage in the circumstance that your intellectualization can be expressed using comparatively simplistic lexicological entities.". An account of my life! Sunday, March 26, 2006. Plenary Program Advisory Meetings. Here are some photos from our very successful Plenary Program Advisory Meetings. We got a lot of good input and I think people had a good time. In particular our conversation about "Calling" was an interesting one - we're doing quite a bit of thinking about what we're calling people to and how. I'll keep you posted. Posted by Lucy at 7:12 PM. Friday, March 17, 2006. A quote for your reflection and comment:. I had a profound...

An account of my life! Saturday, July 01, 2006. I'm feeling sick. Just to elicit some sympathy up front! Don't worry, I won't be making any decisions merely by survey; but my mind keeps going around in circles, so I thought I'd throw it out there. I'm thinking about graduate school - but what would I study? What do I want to do long-term? So help me out, guys - tell me what you think. You'll be glad to hear that seminars. And some of our Prayer Ministers. Looking foward to hearing your comments! I have m...

Lucy's Log: June 2006
http://lucymeade.blogspot.com/2006_06_01_archive.html
An account of my life! Thursday, June 22, 2006. They need to create a new four-letter word to sum up the torture. That is Urbana Seminars. I don't know who they are, and I would help them if I wasn't caught in the web of said- torture. Myself, but it definitely needs to be done. I cannot even begin to explain the complexity. Is that how you spell that word? It feels like one giant. And by giant I mean something the size of say, a blue whale. Ball of knotted string. Argh Argh. ARGH. Tuesday, June 20, 2006.

An account of my life! Tuesday, June 07, 2005. So still figuring this out as I go. I am feeling the exhilirating terror of my job a bit today. For those who read and pray - for prayer:. Finding an expositor for Urbana is a weighty task and I'm feeling the weight! Finding a good rhythm of work - meaning, knowing when to just let go of things and when to hold on so that I am doing the things I'm called to do - is a challenge. Posted by Lucy at 2:06 PM. An account of my life! Wednesday, May 31, 2006. I love my roommate. I realize I have affirmed this before; I simply thought it worth reiterating. She's marvelous. And very funny. If only you all could listen in on some of our conversations. But alas, alack - you'll just have to take my word for it. Here she is (for those of you who don't know her):. An account of my life! Saturday, October 07, 2006. From my time in Keswick, England - the Lake District - this summer. Posted by Lucy at 5:54 PM. Tuesday, October 03, 2006. It's Been a While. Or is it awhile? It's 9:05pm and I need a work break. It's been quite some time (sometime? So, thanks for reading. I appreciate prayers. And hugs and phone calls, in case you're interested :) But no chocolate these days - trying very hard (and succeeding) to loose weight! So non-caloric encouragement if-you-please.
