Friday, February 22, 2013. First post from China! Well everyone, we made it! It seemed to take us like 3 days to get here! We flew a total of 21 hours! We also had 2 four hour layovers but we are finally here! These are times that we are reminded to totally rely on God! We had a good breakfast this morning at the hotel and the staff was really nice. There are a few staff members who speak limited English so we were able to communicate with them. We are very excited about seeing Hannah! They moved our Got...

Saturday, March 2, 2013. ChinaDay.I don't even remember! We have had a busy few days! Thursday we went to the Guiyang museum and learned a lot about the history and culture of Hannah's province. We got to see many of the different ethnic groups that make up the province and it was very interesting. Hannah wasn't realy enthused so she was a letting it be known how bored she was. It's amazing that a small 15 pound child can be so difficult to hold! Our God is awesome! We also got to eat at McDonald's!

Monday, February 25, 2013. I know everyone is wanting to see pictures more than anything so I will put them first. It was truly and AMAZING day! Thanks for all the prayers because they were answered more than we could have ever hoped! As soon as we walked into the room today, her caregivers let her down and she walked right over to me with her arms held up for me to pick her up! It was something I'll never forget! I picked her up, kissed and hugged her, and she was perfectly fine! She has not let it go!

God knew our sweet Hannah when she was formed in her mother's womb. God also knew that this sweet child would be added to our family! Hannah is from Quizhou province in China. Sunday, January 27, 2013. Anslee and Hannah's room. Purple, Purple, Purple! Can you tell that's Anslee's favorite color? The girls will be sharing a room (at least initially) so we let Anslee lead the way with the decorating. She wanted her walls purple, so that's exactly what Daddy did! Wednesday, February 27, 2013. ChinaDays 5 and 6! We have had a busy few days so that when I have time to blog, I'm just too tired! On Tuesday, we went back for more paperwork and the official orphanage donation ceremony. It sounds formal, but really is not at all! We were there with about 6-8 other families who had adopted also and it was kinda like herding cattle. :) After that we just had a free day and we walked around town going into shops and buying a few things for Hannah. I talked with Erik about it and he wanted to pray some more about it. He did.for several LONG days :). Erik then revealed to me that God confirmed to him that adopting is what He wanted us to do and now was the time! We stepped out in faith and God has been with us every step of the way! Saturday, February 23, 2013. We had a pretty uneventful lazy day today. We tried to talk with family and friends this morning through skype but unfortunately couldn't hear them! Tomorrow Benjamin is picking us up and taking us for some sightseeing so tomorrow will probably be more eventful. Sunday, February 24, 2013. We went out sight-seeing a little today. It was a foggy, gloomy, rainy kind of day and not a great day for pictures.
