To begin with progress was slow and because I wasn’t working to a plan there were a number of false starts but eventually (and very much due to the advice and support of members of RMweb) the layout began to take shape and scenery started to appear on my test track. The factory was changed to a goods shed based on a GWR example at Tettenhall.

The plan is a fairly simple one and is based on Bloxwich (on the Walsall – Rugeley line), although I’ve taken the liberty of singling the through line. With Foundry Lane now retired and with a BCB deadlines now a thing of the past I’ve been able to allocate a bit of time to my P4 test plank layout Fryers Lane.
