Lactic Acid From The Left: Greater Cleveland Triathlon (feeling good)
http://laissez-fairelacticacid.blogspot.com/2007/08/greater-cleveland-triathlon-feeling.html
Lactic Acid From The Left. Insight and nonsense as it pertains to my life. Friday, August 17, 2007. Greater Cleveland Triathlon (feeling good). Then, arose a burning in my stomach. Maybe we could call it nausea. The sensation radiated from my stomach out towards my limbs and relocated a strong sensation of warmth on my forehead. Uh no! I thought. I am .1 mile into this race and I already feel like puking. Maybe it was the banana I ate about 1 hour before the start of the race? And why so soon? One which ...

Lactic Acid From The Left: Greater Cleveland Triathlon (the anticipation was torture)

Lactic Acid From The Left. Insight and nonsense as it pertains to my life. Wednesday, August 15, 2007. Greater Cleveland Triathlon (the anticipation was torture). I used the extra time to stretch and go over my list of what to bring again (and again, etc.). At 4:00 I hit the road with Amaterasu on the roof. I arrived at Headlands Beach State Park. At 4:50 (thanks to Craig. For the pic above), and saw a parking lot full of maybe 2 other athletes. Ask Treetop and J. Labels: Greater Cleveland Triathlon.

JenuineIMexperience: February 2007

Friday, February 23, 2007. Swimming with the fishes. No, not in the Sopranos way. : ). I've seen lots of forum posts about the benefits of joining a masters swim group. Now, I'm not going to say it isn't beneficial, but do the benefits hold true for the slow lane? Maybe I don't benefit as much from masters as those that can keep up with the workout, but I do think I still derive some benefit from swimming with the other fishes. Thanks for sharing the lanes mates! Posted by JenC at 12:27 PM. I'm really gl...

JenuineIMexperience: December 2006
http://jenuineimexperience.blogspot.com/2006_12_01_archive.html
Friday, December 29, 2006. I think I have had a perpetual bruised knuckle on my right hand for weeks if not months. Every time it starts to feel better, I bash it into the lane lines again on my next swim. Maybe I should start "sighting" in the pool. : ). It is a small price to pay though and I'm just happy that I swam the 3500 yards today with no left arm pain. Woo hoo! Hopefully, my 40-minute treadmill run later this afternoon will be without pain too. Posted by JenC at 9:13 AM. I've been debating abou...

Thursday, September 28, 2006. Back on the trainer again. On a positive note, my poison ivy is healing nicely. It barely itches now. I think identifying it finally made it say "OK, you now know what I am. Good! Now, I can let you heal. Spiders indeed! Posted by JenC at 1:59 PM. Wednesday, September 27, 2006. Poison Ivy, Posing and Perspective. I probably still need to dry clean and wash a lot of the clothes I've been wearing the last few weeks. I've been lurking on the www.Slowtwitch.com. On a much happie...

JenuineIMexperience: April 2007
http://jenuineimexperience.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 30, 2007. Mother nature wasn't kind to us 10-miler racers on Saturday. I was convinced that it wouldn't rain, but wow, was I wrong. It wasn't too bad during the race, but after, I shivered all the way to the car (and I was running). Well, I actually set a new 10-mile PR by almost a minute. My chip time was 1:31:58 (finished 38 out of 78 in my age group). Last year, I ran it in 1:34:32 and the year before in 1:32:56 (my prior PR). Posted by JenC at 9:40 AM. Should I be offended by this?

Lactic Acid From The Left: Catchin' My Breath
http://laissez-fairelacticacid.blogspot.com/2008/03/catchin-my-breath.html
Lactic Acid From The Left. Insight and nonsense as it pertains to my life. Wednesday, March 26, 2008. I haven't had much time for blogging lately. Between work, school, training, and some volunteer work I've had time for little else. I usually try and squeeze blogging in somehow, and before I seemed to run out of time for it I was planning on making some changes around here. Maybe spiff things up a bit? Don't forget an ice pick. Lactic Acid From The Left: Shamrock 15K
http://laissez-fairelacticacid.blogspot.com/2008/03/shamrock-15k.html
Lactic Acid From The Left. Insight and nonsense as it pertains to my life. Sunday, March 09, 2008. For fear I'd be visiting my rat friend. But I wanted to try the Irish oats. after all, it was the Shamrock 15K. So, after the Irish oats, a shower, and some reading it was time to head to the race. I stepped outside into the snow covered landscape, feeling a bit like I was entering into some sort of fantasy land that consisted of exploded marshmallow goo (I know you all remember ghostbusters). I saw one or ...

Lactic Acid From The Left. Insight and nonsense as it pertains to my life. Sunday, October 07, 2007. While I have a free minute. I have found a little time to give you an update on my past couple of weeks. I did a couple of great races and have been working on some fun stuff at the University. The rundown:. Last weekend was my impromptu half mary (not recommended) at the Akron Marathon. My dear peeps Treetop and J. Were training for their first marathon in Columbus, next weekend. J's. The pic below I "st...
