The mountain a friend and I climbed by the power of Christ. I was blessed to have a group of young singles to go out adventuring with. And adventure we did! This is the garden of the gods). We were able to celebrate halloween together and the kids dressed up. Then came the end and the goodbyes that come along with that.

Well I m down here in. Here are some interesting things about the culture here though. The sun rises around. Here so most people get up much earlier than in the. It actually sets around the same time as home. Meals are quite a bit different here. Black beans and rice is by far the most common meal. It isn t unusual to have black beans and rice as at least a part of all three meals in your day. Usually you have something with them though. Often chicken, but we do get beef here too. A few pictures for you.

This is a suspension bridge on the campus. This is the river that runs under it. This is the classroom we spend our days in. This is the cafeteria we eat in. This is my bedroom. This is my livingroom. The landscaping outside of the cafeteria.

Some pictures of my first home in Guatemala, Antigua. There are 3 volcanoes that surround Antigua and this one’s name is Agua. The community I worked in, Santa Maria de Jesus, is half way up this extinct volcanoe. This is a picture of one of the city streets in Santa Maria de Jesus. The clothing the women are wearing is hand-made and the design is specific to this community, other communities have their own designs. They make an even bigger deal of their independence day (Sept 15) than we do.

THE ROSENTRETERS SINCE 2005. Saturday, January 15, 2011. Madal and Griff had a Tea Party for Liv so sweet. Liv Madal and Griff enjoying Liv's birthday lunch! Olivia had two days of birthday fun turning "3" this year. Her birthday morning, I attempted to make her a three pancake, it was a thee on the pan before it got flipped and then it had to be reasembled on her plate, never the less she loved it when she got to blow out her candle! I love my freinds! It was super sweet! I am a little bit exhausted!
