Similar in premise to films like House of Wax, ‘Tourist Trap’ follows a group of friends who happen upon an abandoned gas station and the closed ‘Slausen’s Lost Oasis’ – a Western themed museum in the back of nowhere. A gritty horror remake with the basic plot of revenge and brutal justice with a nice twist of a mild mannered family, bit like ‘The Hills have Eyes’. This lake house is about to become a house of slaughter. Rather low level horror wise except some shiners involving kitchen forks and waste disposal units and the final act with a microwave.
