After obtaining her law degree from the University of Lyon (France), Géraldine studied Business Administration in Lyon (France) and got a Master in legal management. Embarking first on a career in banking and building on this experience, Geraldine decided later to switch to the pharmaceutical sector.

In 2011 and 2012, Xigen successfully completed a Phase I in Switzerland as well as a Phase Ib clinical trial in France. In 2013 a phase II multi-centric study in the field of Ophthalmology was completed in Europe and in August 2014 a phase III study started in the US. In parallel, a Phase II multicentric clinical trial with XG-102 has been completed in Europe by its partner Auris Medical, a Swiss based company targeting ear disorders.
