The challenge was to make the central character deform in a designed-kind-of-way, while keeping his animation full of life and character. The unique look is the result of a very clear design, careful stopmotion-esque animation that is rotoscoped by hand by dedicated artists.

Since this film revolves around a skin-altering incident, probably caused by a flying saucer from outer space, there were some difficulties for the director to actually film that. The animation of rogue beavers had to be equally realistic as their integration in their surroundings. Character animation: Jan Snoekx. Production company: Lovo Films. Agency: Famous, Brussels. Maya animation, Arnold renderer. Realism was key. The beavers had to be integrated convincingly into the live-action plates. The challenge was for the animation to be realistic, but also humourous and exaggerated. Arnold render was used in combination with Yeti, character animation was done in Maya.
