E at last started to rebuild the Chassis. Most of it has been painted with 3 coats of extreme chassis black from Frost. Front suspension is back in place, Hubs need to be cleaned and painted. We now have the car back from Sid’s with all the body work done I must say he makes a fantastic job. The body has been removed from the chassis and is at Locke and Hankey in Congleton for Painting. I have started to strip the front suspension from the chassis and also paint the Chassis so far it is 75% primed and all the front suspension parts have been bead blasted ready for painting. To start with I had to strip the car of all the bright work, Interior, Engine and Gearbox, Bumpers etc. The wooden floor in the footwells and boot where completely shot. The most amazing thing is that in stripping the car I only had to cut one bolt which was one of the rear bumper irons. Which is not bad for a car that is 56 years old. December 24, 2010.
