Manorfield Consulting, LLC: August 2008
http://manorfieldconsulting.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Manorfield Consulting, LLC. Wednesday, August 20, 2008. If you are a single employee company like me you know the desire to keep costs down. Since I work with XSL-FO for a good bit of my projects, I often get requests to use fonts outside the normally installed sets. I searched around a little bit and found the whole family for $339.00. That's a little out of my price range for a single project. Installs the Frutiger Linotype. Just thought I'd share that sometimes you can find a solid option for free.

David Lee's Random Amusements. Monday, August 13, 2012. Big Changes in the Markup World. This year I attended and Presented at Balisage ( http:/ balisage.net/. I have been going to (and presenting at) this Geekfest for years although a small slice of the time of many attendees. Another year, another AWS re:Invent conference, Changes, innovation, surprises are now the expected, and the expected, trendy, new and exciting are mundane or mature or yesterdays news for last weeks generation. David Lee's Random Amusements: March 2012
http://blog.calldei.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
David Lee's Random Amusements. Tuesday, March 6, 2012. A few months ago I was at a concert. A mind-blowing, incredible awe-inspiring amazing kind of concert. The kind that sends you to another world you didn't know existed. The kind that you're embarrassed to describe to people because they think you must be insane or on drugs. The kind I suspect few ever experience or know could possibly exist. But its true. Hit back if you don't believe. There is nothing more for you here. Because I could not do that?

David Lee's Random Amusements: April 2011
http://blog.calldei.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
David Lee's Random Amusements. Saturday, April 23, 2011. Failure is the new Success. Well it didn't. The hidden success in the Japan Disaster is that in fact the reactors stood up to 9 quake AND a tsunami. Other zones were unaffected. A single geographic zone went dark for 48 hours but the rest kept chugging on. And in fact it seems that all data is restored, nothing lost. Those vast number 'mainstream internet sites taken down'? So whats to learn? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Failure is the new Success.

David Lee's Random Amusements: Security - What is it and what is it good for ?
http://blog.calldei.com/2013/12/security-what-is-it-and-what-is-it-good.html
David Lee's Random Amusements. Monday, December 9, 2013. Security - What is it and what is it good for? Security - What is it and what is it good for? Disclaimer, I am NOT a security expert. This commentary is more focused on the societal and social concepts then any particular technology - from the perspective of a normal reasonably educated and informed human. In fact I suggest that you miss the forest through the trees if you focus on security-as-technology. Security is good, right? For physical thing...

XMLSH: May 2012
http://blog.xmlsh.org/2012_05_01_archive.html
A Command line shell for XML processing. Thursday, May 31, 2012. GUI GUI who wants a GUI? At long last (years) I knuckled down and made a simple xmlsh GUI. This will be in the next release. I have been opposing this for a long time for many reasons, the least of which is I dont really like writing GUI's. But I got tired of the limited editing capabilities of DOS command shells and enjoy the very simple BSH UI GUI . Xmlsh is a command line shell and a embedded API, not a WYSIWYG tool. Then transfered the ...
