So here follows an alternative CV; a list of my stopover lily-pads, and some important things I’ve learned from each one:. 1 Waitress/Cashier, 1 month. People tend to assume knowledge where it may not exist, and it costs them. The place: a café that shall remain nameless at Sydney University. The problem: I had never used a cash register that didn’t do the sums for you before. Rules and procedures can have blurry edges.
