A classic Waterways Records release from 1987 for the boys and girls at the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia (the C.Y.C.A.) The Licorice Lounge: Qamili i Vogël - the Nightingale of Albanian Song
http://licoricelounge.blogspot.com/2010/08/qamili-i-vogel-nightingale-of-albanian.html
Wednesday, August 4, 2010. Qamili i Vogël - the Nightingale of Albanian Song. Mazllom Mejzini, Qamili i Vogël and Ismet Peja (sources unknown). The story of Qamili i Vogël (Little Qamil) is obscured in depths of Yugoslavia's dark and repressive past - where the cultural and musical expression of minority groups made for a trying expressive experience. Brotherhood and unity - of Yugoslavia. Information on his discography is scattered and blurred, as is any biographical information. Though with the ris...

I hope that you get something out of it. DT: Is this Lobby? DT: Would you have some time to do a quick interview? LL: Yeah, yeah - sure. DT: How did the Purple Hearts reunion come about? The Licorice Lounge: Rexhë Gashi & Ibish Broja - Bec Sinani
http://licoricelounge.blogspot.com/2011/01/rexhe-gashi-ibish-broja-bec-sinani.html
Saturday, January 15, 2011. Rexhë Gashi and Ibish Broja - Bec Sinani. A Cassette from the late 1990s or early 2000s of epic songs from Drenica's Rexhë Gashi, one of very prim players around in Kosovo's folk music scheme of things. A prim is a small stringed instrument tuned in GGEAD, more commonly played in Croatia and known there as the tamburica. In essence, it's a more primitive version of the Greek bouzouki. 1 Zenel Begu/Fetah Pasha/Valle Populore 28:40. 2 Bec Sinani 28:49. Rexhë Gashi - prim.

The Licorice Lounge: Rusty - Sunshine Satire Volume One
http://licoricelounge.blogspot.com/2011/01/rusty-sunshine-satire-volume-one.html
Wednesday, January 5, 2011. Rusty - Sunshine Satire Volume One. In the days when Chryslers ruled the roads and shows like Kingswood Country proudly represented Australian television in the 1980s, releases such as these seemed to popped up on cassette tapes for the Voxson deck. If anything, Rusty's Sunshine Satire Volume One. Is a postcard of Australian larrikinism at its most pathetically primal. 2 Ain't No Fun in Darwin. 3 Whatever Happened To Malcolm? 4 Dingo's Got My Baby. 5 On Strike .Again. Qamili i...
