My testimony never made it on here and I will post it one of these days, but for now it's time to do a little bit of closure. 365 days ago I had expectations, I had visions of what I wanted my year to look like, I knew how I wanted to serve, but I really didn't know what I was in for- all I wanted was to grow. I was listening to the radio on the way back from the gym with my dad today and the program was finishing off with questions to ask we reflect on the last year and begin the next year-the Christian version. Although I didn't hear all of the questions, I found them thought provoking and so here is my adapted version:. 1 What lessons did God teach you this year? 2 How did you serve Him and His people this year? 3 In what ways were you broken for His promises? Friday, July 30, 2010. Shadow of the Almighty. I believe I now have a favorite Christian book. I'm not sure if God has used any other book, other than Bible of course, to challenge me to change the way I view my daily stance on life. As I read it, I want to jump out of my seat and do something for God. I want to read His Word and commit it ALL to memory. But mostly, I just want to rest in His presence the entire day. Thursday, July 28, 2011. The testimony I never put up. (I do not apologize for the length). Clearly, I was. A confused girl who was loved by an immeasurable God trying to walk by her own plans and hoping God's plans worked out through them. It became time to apply for colleges and all I wanted was to run away from the sheltered rural town I lived in and go somewhere new. Did I consult God in this decision? Thursday, January 27, 2011. Taking the day off. On 1/28/2011, I will be taking the day off. No phone, no gchat, no adult work. If it is an emergency, please e-mail which I will likely check every few hours. Please pray for our college retreat which will commence tomorrow at 515pm- may God speak breath into the college ministry and yell powerfully into people's lives. Trash day is so gross because there's all this trash all over the sidewalk and it smells so bad to walk around. the other Wednesday (trash day) I was thinking and wondering if me walking around the trash is what God feels like when he "walks" around us and our filthy selves.
