Explored a few country roads through gorgeous wine country this weekend. With temperatures in the high 30s, it was still cool enough if I kept moving. Started my regular Saturday trek to Oliver via Osoyoos, and as usual this time of year got stuck behind a string of tourista cagers for a while, until the highway grew another lane. Anyway, since I know this bit of road very well, (and where the cops may hide), I just popped Spirit into 3rd, moved into the center divided yellow section, and blew by both the SUV and pickup at 200, giving neither any time to even consider a counter-move!

2 wheels move the spirit. September 10, 2011. Finally got the Maxim road-ready. Everything works, and the engine sounds good. I took her for a (slightly illegal) short run on the highway, and managed to shift up to third, and about 90Kph. She pops a bit on decel, so there may be a vacuum leak somewhere, or maybe the carbs need synchronizing. I’ll have to block off the YICS ports, which requires a special tool. Pics to follow…. Artist by profession, Webmaster by interest, Biker by choice.

2 wheels move the spirit. July 4, 2011. Sitting here recovering from surgery part 2. This one was called a lymphadenectomy. And once again required a general anaesthetic. While I was zonked out, the surgeon made an incision under my arm, near the armpit, and proceeded to excise the lymph nodes in that area. Now I have a Jackson-Pratt device attached to the incision, to drain off excess lymph. We are the Borg. Apart from some minor pain, and some loss of sensation at the upper triceps, I feel OK.
