October 9, 2008. Lord, has it really been a month since i last wrote? I guess it has been. Life doesn't really pan out the way you expect, does it? As time goes on, i'm focusing in more and more closely on what it is -exactly- that i want out of a relationship. i plan on implementing strategies on obtaining that goal soon. after i get back from europe. August 31, 2007. I picked her up from the airport yesterday afternoon. we drove to a cafe. In the neighborhood for lunch. yummy paninis. then we swooped by the station so she could see the joint and meet everybody. she became smitten with one of my coworkers, and i think there may actually be some sort of date before she leaves town. the lady works fast. On the way home we popped into a little local gourmet grocery store. There's a little gelato shop. Next store to the grocery, and we both had a scoop.

October 13, 2008. I AM FREAKING OUT RIGHT NOW. I just bought a house. It's *gorgeous*, but it's also more than i wanted to spend. so i'm freaking out about that a little. Adding to my stress level is the fact that i'm leaving for europe on wednesday morning. so that means the house inspection is happening today. i'll have to submit repair requests tomorrow. and somehow hope my suitcase magically packs itself. Kimchi is fermenting, made a few more passes through the den, cleaned the kitchen back up, had lunch with friend (very excellent thing to do), and even went back up to the attic to store a cooler and bring down a fan. I applied for a few jobs! Take recycling and trash to curb. FINISH the den and vacuum. Wash sweaters to put away for the summer. Mend sweaters that need it. Make appointments for volunteering gig.
