Thoughts and observations. nothing too personal, usually. Thursday, March 27, 2014. Anxiety, nighttime kitchens, broken foot. Yep So, I guess 2014 is the year that HAZ goes back to sleep, waking up now and then for a random update. So that's why I'm not here much lately. Tonight, as I left the lab, about 8:30, I went to the kitchen to get a candy bar. I don't usually do this, but my foot is kind of broken and I felt like I needed an extra boost for the walk home. What else is there? With a broken foot!

Read Koch's "confessions of a romantic reductionist" this weekend. nice book, and he's such an interesting character. i was slightly disappointed that there wasn't more to learn - it was thin (i don't normally finish a book in 2 days). not that it wasn't full of things to learn, but most of it wasn't new to me, i guess because i'm familiar enough with the literature. Bull ant: someone wanted me to come stomp it, but i chased it across the street instead. apparently the sting can be pretty bad. she was super aggressive - i chased her off with a stick, but for the most part i had to actually flip her away, foot by foot, because otherwise she'd rear up and point her mandibles at me, very challenging. Tuesday, February 17, 2015. 这几天早上总是闹钟响之前就自己醒来一下下。也许是因为急于测量基础体温，但也许是因为太阳已经升起来了照耀着，毕竟，春天的脚步越来越近了！ 今天开车上班的路上，想着想着就决定明天起早上提前半小时起床，锻炼！而不是等着每天下班后回家锻炼，因为有时候下班晚点儿，这边还聊着天，那边又等着做晚饭，经常就不了了之了！ 以后晚上十二点睡，早上八点起，锻炼半小时，其他时程照旧，多么完美！—— 我的羊年决议！ Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Tuesday, December 23, 2014. 验光之后，他问我，你来工作多久了，我说七月份；我也搭话说，你才来这个城市吗，他说是的，我之前在Milwaukee，我刚从监狱里出来…. 我顿了半秒又赶快接话说，你怎么知道我们的，他说Ann（我们经理的名字），我说，哦你认识她哦。 于是接着给他查眼底，结果即将万事ok之时，发现他的左眼视神经上一大块黑色的lesion，我汗，也不知道是啥，也叫不出个名，只好照旧默默refer了…. 出去前台，副经理看病人手上拿着refer letter，笑着说，哇要瞎了吧，我又汗！ 只见病人径直走到经理面前，我这才恍然大悟，他是我们经理的男朋友啊，之前见过介绍的呀！ 哎，进眼镜店后，脸盲症越来越严重的dr伤不起啊！！ Ps 后来查了下，大概是optic disc melanocytoma. We are fighting dreamers. Monday, July 21, 2014. Today saw a pt with Adie's tonic pupil (hopefully that's what is! First time on my own, 2nd time ever (1st time was in Martha Eliot Fall 2012)! A 40 yo brownish male. healthy otherwise. When i was about check his eyes with slit lamp starting with OD, his pupil was gigantic without constriction! Friday, July 18, 2014. Started the new job on 10th, and saw 10 pts that day. Worked for a week, on 17th, saw 17 pts. the rest of week, pts number fell in between.

We are fighting dreamers. Saturday, March 21, 2015. 春天终于来了，两周了，从圣地亚哥回来后大威州也就暖起来了，大雁也飞回来了，虽然这几天又冷了一点点，但地气是暖的，风是暖的，大地回春大概就是这个感觉，天气真好！ 羊年决议的晨跑最终是完全没有实施，但也没什么可惜的，因为最近有积极外出跑步——在傍晚！微风拂面，夕阳西下，听着音乐，慢慢小跑一会儿，感觉真好！ 店里又逐渐进入了淡季，也就周五周六稍微忙一点，可是天天渐渐暖起来，周六的下午也没什么人来了，比如现在，大家都出去享受春天的阳光啦！ 刚才看了安猪猫的“什么都没有”博客，发现他在2013年还写了好几篇周记，哈哈，大概在我上学最繁忙的时候，我都一直没看过，写得非常有意思！应该继续坚持！ Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
