A clean moist slot is important to proper application of the Xypex products. Install a brush coat of Xypex Concentrate @ 2 lb. per square yard (2 parts water 5 parts concentrate). Follow with xypex Dry pack (6 parts concentrate per 1 part water). Pneumaticaly compact Dry Pack mixture to 1/4 inch below the surface. Whales are once more happy.

Honeycombing was repaired and 5 1/2 inches of shotcrete was applied over top with reinforcing steel. Full welded wire fabric with dowels placed prior to installation of shotcrete. Pressure wash all walls after 72 hours of shotcrete installation. Clean up after pressure washing. Prepare for coating walls with Xypex Concentrate and Modified. Applying Xypex Concentrate at 1.5 lb. per square yard.

DS-1 is a special dry shake formulation of Xypex Concentrate designed specifically for horizontal concrete surfaces such as parking decks and floor slabs. Applied by hand or by mechanical spreader, DS-1 is trowelled into fresh concrete prior to finishing. DS-2 is used for concrete structures where increased abrasion resistance is required. Finish with regular finishing blades and trowels.
