月洞 有著許多傳說 月洞 原本就是一個天然洞穴，洞中積水成湖約五公尺左右，水是淡水，且會隨著月之盈虧而漲落，所以有人稱之為 月井。 秀姑巒溪發源於中央山脈的秀姑巒山附近，全長約100公里，是東部最長的河川，也是唯一流經海岸山脈的溪流，其下游河段切穿海岸山脈，在瑞穗鄉奇美村東折，由大港口出海,其溪流蜿蜒曲折約24公里，其中激流，險灘處處，是泛舟者的天堂.泛舟之旅由瑞穗大橋啟航，其中瑞穗大橋到奇美就有7處邀流，又以第7道激流最為驚險，其餘在奇美以下至長虹橋之間，全長大約有23處激流,全程約4小時，秀姑巒溪亦是全台少有的未受污染的河川之一，溪裡更孕育有文化資源保護法列為保護的高身魚固魚，且其中熱帶雨林林立，更有多達百餘種的鳥類，全溪自然生態非常豐富。 位於瑞港公路中途，前後是險峻的峽谷，而奇美村座落在河階的平地上，是泛舟中途休息的地方，村裡是屬阿美部落，原住民靠著農耕及漁獵而繁衍，奇美是阿美族 kiwit 的音譯，原音是捆綁爬藤-海金沙，有如生命中般堅韌，奇美豐年祭是最熱鬧的日子，活動都還是依傳統方式舉行，其中勇士舞，最受矚目，而奇美村內有民宿,提供遊客住宿。
