Thursday, February 03, 2011. I passed the quals! I'm officially a phd candidate. My brain is now saturated with science. Been hearing about science in talks and posters for the past few days. Cos its a scientific conference. Which is good, cos i feel that i'm learning. But its also not so good, because i go on facebook and look at the photos of friends at salsa congresses, clubs, having fun, and i'm drowning in scientific info overload. My life is just not as fun. I guess its the path i've chosen.

Tuesday, June 29, 2004. Chem, phy and gp are over! At last. now there're only 3 pracs and bio and math left. only. and biomed of course. i wonder if information can get displaced. BT info goes into my brain and the biomed info comes out. a lot of holes in the head for that- fossa ovale, foramen magnum, jugular foramen etc. yikes. forgot wat nerve comes out from wat hole liao. and the quiz is next week! Friday, October 29, 2004. Read that cherian george book today. Finished it at last. Took abt 3 hours :s. Then now i feel knowledgeable. But after 2 days i'm gonna forget all i read. Sunday, January 30, 2005. Went out with xiaoen today. Met the year 1s at far east. so fun :). We both did stuff to our hair. spent a bomb (i feel). But apparently mine still looks the same haha. A bit more coloured i guess. We shopped around and met ee fung at taka where she was working. so fun :). And we had beef noodle for dinner. so nice :). We left early cos we have to work tmr haha. Thursday, September 30, 2004. Had a great time at pool w some classmates today. Ying and i were the only females, but its ok. had lotsa fun luvya babe :). And likoon is really zai lah haha. Gave me helpful advice. so did the rest of the ppl there actually. Cos i was the worst player hahaha. So under their guidance i progressed and actually lost to jz by one ball! Not easy ok :p). Didn't know i could feel so happy losing. Was just waiting for my turn (cos 6 ppl but 2 tables) when i looked, as in really.

Monday, August 16, 2004. As part of the tradition Aunty Lilian started, we went for dinner and a movie lasst night. This reminds me of an incident long long ago when we went to perth for a holiday. we went to this seafood restaurant in Frementle for dinner. the food was, of course superb. there was lobster or crayfish of some sort i think. too bad i can't remember more details :s. old liao. Monday, February 28, 2005. Today i had to run the clinic of a prof. I ran his clinic last week, and screwed up quite a bit. eg i left the tea bag in his cup for 15 mins. when in fact its supposed to be there for 1.5 mins. so today i actually counted all the way from 1to 90 to ensure that the tea bag is steeped for the correct amount of time.
