Friday 14th January 2011 - Phuket, Thailand. Just a short update to start off the year as we are busy getting ready to set off again. Everything is just about ready now and the weather forecast looks OK, so we should be leaving for the Maldives tomorrow morning. We will stop there for a short break and then head onwards towards the Mediterranean. Cannot say too much about that at the moment as we do not want to tip off the Somali pirates about where we are. Saturday 5th June 2004 - Southsea, England. Our big adventure is about to begin - we both finished work last Friday and have spent the last week getting ready to go. It has been a busy week and we have not had much time to spend updating the website - hopefully we should be able to do more once we are underway. Strummer is a Moody 376 built in 1988. In June 2004 we (Nigel and Alison) set off aboard Strummer from Southsea, England to sail to the Mediterranean. After two years in the Mediterranean we crossed the Atlantic, and then the Pacific, and eventually ended up in Thailand.
