So excited to announce that I published my first pattern, Folha Luz. It being my first design, I am hoping that not only will people like it, but that it will be a fun knit to boot.🙂 I know that I loved knitting it up and have been wearing it every chance I get – it’s so soft and cozy in the gorgeous Fiberphile Merino Cashmere Sock! Here are some of the specs for the shawlette:. It is a perfect accessory to layer on during the Winter months and to keep you warm on chilly Spring and Fall days. Pattern in...

Wednesday, 23 March 2011. Musings On A Confidence-less Performance. So, I managed last week to muster up the courage to watch the DVD of my performance in November. I'm torn between being happy with my dancing, and not happy with my performance skills. My dancing was good. Much better than I thought it was. Yet I was suffering from a huge confidence drop at the time, and it was so apparent. I just looked terrified. I'm glad I did. I know now that my dancing is. That's always a good thing :).

Monthly Archives: December 2010. 2010 – A Year in Knits. But I did make bigger knits than I did then, so perhaps it all evens out in the end. Before I recap the knitted projects, I should mention that I also had some resolutions. So what have I finished? The total count came to twenty-four. Finished projects. Not too shabby, though certainly not as grand as the thirty I did in 2009. But still, I love the knits I made this year, so I’m not going to dwell on this drop in numbers! 8211; 2 pairs. So excited to announce that my new pattern is out! Is a hat pattern with three styles – a beanie, a beret and an extra slouchy beret – that is perfect for those cold days we are having and for the cooler nights during the Spring! The pattern includes all three styles, so you literally can get three hats out of one pattern purchase. How great is that? The hats are all very quick and easy knits (you can make the beanie version in just a few hours of knitting! From the pattern description:. Beanie: Madeline...

Monthly Archives: September 2010. Spain Part II – Granada and The Alhambra. Although the blog has been severely lacking in knitting content lately, I still don’t have any to share with you. For one, my thumb has just recently healed (yay for healing! And for two I am so so so close to finishing this enormous shawl that I am test knitting and until that is done I’m not picking up any other projects! But back on course… my sister and I just LOVED. Not only does it look neat, but it works incredibly well at...

Snow and a Skein. It’s official, we just broke the record for snowiest month in NYC! It’s been an insane snow-driven month and as such it is hard to get pictures lately without snow coming into them one way or another. So I decided to share with you all some pictures that I took walking around different parts of Brooklyn and Manhattan and at different times of day too. This is the cutest snow cat ever! Thanks again, Andrea! Larr; Sock 1 of 11 in 2011. New Design Prototypes →. 10 responses to “. Yeah, I&#...
