Woolydoodles Knits: September 2007
http://woolydoodlesknits.blogspot.com/2007_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 30, 2007. Not much of a week. I've been off work all week. It's a throat infection that has been the culprit. Unlike most people that work thro' such illnesses I can't :(. I'm now feeling less shivery and achy thank goodness, and I've been able to get on with my secret knitting(when I've felt upto it), so I'm hopefully on the home straight with that now. I think Audrey and myself need to do some spinning this afternoon as we have neglected each other a bit recently. I'm here, honest!

She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands. -Proverbs 31:13. Monday, August 27, 2007. Tagged me for a meme, so here goes. Four jobs I have had:. 1 Food Lion/Kash n Karry - 4 years here altogether, some in NC, some in FL. Mostly worked as a cashier. For the last 6 months I've been working in the office, doing accounting, bookeeping, etc. 2 WCU Math Lab - I tutored ppl who couldn't get it. And sometimes I pretended to tutor people who knew it better than me (ian). Four places I have lived:. 3 LaG...

She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands. -Proverbs 31:13. Monday, May 28, 2007. So, I had a pretty good weekend. Probably would have been better if I hadn't had my heart broke. But that was a minor detail. Saturday night I went back to LaGrange, then on Sunday at church, MawMaw told me I should stay another day. So, Sonya, Jeremy and I spent the day at Callaway Gardens. It was beautiful. Now, onto my most recent project. Anybody know of a good bib pattern? Monday, May 21, 2007. Housewives wa...

http://mickettymack.blogspot.com/2007/09/fall-into-autumn-dishcloth-exchange.html
She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands. -Proverbs 31:13. Friday, September 7, 2007. Fall into Autumn Dishcloth Exchange Survey. Do you knit or crochet? How long have you been doing it? I do both. I really mostly knit, I do very little crochet anymore. But, I've been crocheting about. oh, 10 years or so. and knitting only a couple of months. Have you made dischloths before? Do you use them yourself, give them as gifts, or both? What's your favorite cotton to make cloths from? I love pumpkin ...
You win some....: Fall Into Autumn Topic of the Week and an Update.
http://mickettymack.blogspot.com/2007/09/fall-into-autumn-topic-of-week-and.html
She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands. -Proverbs 31:13. Tuesday, September 11, 2007. Fall Into Autumn Topic of the Week and an Update. So, this week we've been asked to post about whether we change our yarn or our projects as the weather changes. My car is on the fritz. I get paid tomorrow, and I'm seriously afraid all my money's gonna be going into my car. But at least I'll have some peace of mind afterwards, and won't have to keep worrying about it. And in knitting news. I'm so glad we g...

You win some....: My Foodie Day
http://mickettymack.blogspot.com/2011/03/my-foodie-day.html
She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands. -Proverbs 31:13. Monday, March 21, 2011. I feel like such a foodie today! For lunch (and I ate the rest for dinner), I had spaghetti and I made a "sauce" with a can of diced tomatoes, brown sugar, and hamburger meat. It was delicious. And for dessert, I had some granola, topped with peach yogurt, finished off with a dollop of peach jam, made by my sister-in-law last summer. Here is the recipe. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). You win some....: June 2007
http://mickettymack.blogspot.com/2007_06_01_archive.html
She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands. -Proverbs 31:13. Monday, June 4, 2007. I need to pack. So, let's make this quick. Started working on a new project the other day. a bib for Jamie and Frances's little baby, Bella. I'm making it out of Peaches and Creme in Potpourri. Just a dc in rows. making the pattern up as I go. I'll stitch some velcro to the ends for a closure, and I THINK it'll come out pretty stinkin' cute. For now, I shall clean. Roving Yarnivore
Monday, January 12, 2009. You can't really tell in these pictures, but this one has blue and purple star-fire sparkles in it. Once again, this is one that didn't dye exactly how I wanted it to, but it's not that bad. How it spun up and the roving. These'll poke your eye out with a pointy stick. This one was a roving that I dyed rainbow and then spun. This one I spun, then dyed. Mohair takes dye very well generally. The color of this one isn't exactly what the picture shows. The blue is pretty accurat...

yarnivore | consuming fiber by any means necessary
Consuming fiber by any means necessary. October 8, 2014. Why I don’t support Double Union or the Ada Initiative. When I walked in, I was stunned. At first I thought I had misunderstood, because why would they be throwing away what I had donated? I wrote to the list quickly, asking if the stuff against the wall was intended for landfill. I got a response back quickly, saying that yes it was, but if there was anything I wanted out of it, I had until Sunday to take it out. So generous! This is why I do not ...
Nerdy about Knitting | The Yarnivore knits, whines, and says adorable things
The Yarnivore knits, whines, and says adorable things. The 200 Squares Project. A bit of progress. Wednesday 19 September 2012. Today I was able to sit down and work on sweater sleeve number two, and nearly finished it, so far as I’ve “finished” the other sleeve. I have just over ten more rows and then it’s time to swatch. I’m hoping to calculate my shrinkage percent by the swatch so that the sweater turns out exactly the way I want it. Getting nesty all up in here. Friday 14 September 2012. It’s s...
Yarnivore, A Yarn Shop With Attitude!
2357 NW Military Hwy. San Antonio, TX 78231. What is a Yarnivore? Well, if a carnivore is an animal that gets its energy from eating meat, then it’s only a small stretch to think that a Yarnivore is someone that gets their energy from playing with yarn, right? Yarnivores are people obsessed with fiber lace through bulky, cotton through cashmere. We’ve increased our focus on local hand-dyed and often have yarn and other goodies from artists like Heavenly Fiber (yarn and roving! Bonnie Bishoff (shawl pins!
