Meridith's Big Adventure: May 2009
http://meridithshepherd.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
Covering the adventures of a knitting, cooking, mom. Friday, May 22, 2009. Ahh, I just love nap time on a day off. No "other baby" and plenty of quiet time for knitting, blogging, facebooking. So, on my day off, what do I find to do. This morning, I took Day into work, stopping to get a yummy coffee, on the way, went to the Yarn Shop and More. I was on a search for some yarn for my mom's Owls Sweater. I didn't find anything, for that anyway. I did buy some Glacier Del Cielo. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

What We Sell

Knitted Purses and Creations. The Shopping Cart displays all of our products. We knit our stuff with 100% wool yarn and then we felt it - wash it in the washing machine. The hot water opens the wool fibers and the agitation of the washer shrinks and condenses it into a sturdy piece. We sometimes use non-wool yarn with the wool for different styles. We buy most all of our yarns locally - we love going to The Yarn Barn in Lawrence, KS ( www.yarnbarn-ks.com/. Straps, handles and adornments. If soiled, wipe ...

Saturday, April 30, 2005. Move Over, Martha. This morning, I deadheaded the deep purple tulips, because they were spent. Then I was about to deadhead the orange-red parrot tulips, but I noticed that they were still in really good shape, so I thought, Self! Let's have a bouquet! That takes care of future deadheading, and it will look very pretty! Then the dogs got involved. Milling about. Suzy kept coming up and wanting to investigate the flowers, and I thought, "Awwwww. Wouldn't that be sweet? Oh, man, M...

Tuesday, August 31, 2004. Stephanie has been telling me how great the Ritz Chips are (raving about them, actually) and I just sort of nodded and went "uh-huh" - but today, she has been validated. They are awesome! The remind me a little of the ol' Chicken in a Biskit, texture wise. But they're much crunchier. I like crunchy things. I am ready for lunch. Posted by PlazaJen, 11:22 AM link. Saturday, August 28, 2004. Quiet on the South Side. I just wanted my car so I was not in any state to be quizzing him,...

Tuesday, August 25, 2009. Grandma Ootah and Papa Tom Visit. Chris' mom, Carole, and step-dad, Tom, stopped by to play for a few days on their road trip from Park City, Utah to Madison, Wisconsin. As you can see, Kestan had a lot of fun with his grandparents! Along with riding scooters, we visited the Old Overland Park farmer's market. Played at the yarn shop. Ate daddy's homemade pizza and ice cream, and just loved catching up and being together. (Click here. Yummy things to smell at Penzys Spices.
