Imagine him calling me up on my birthday exactly at 12-midnight and wishing me with the same warmth that ten years between us couldn't marr. There were a lot of fact-exchanges and catching up that happened, but in my heart i knew that this was the nicest surprise my birthday could give me. And now i have stepped into another brand new year of my life!

Morning saw my house owner divulging this carefully guarded secret that electricity gets charged here at commercial rates of 7.6 Rs/unit( as against residential rates of around 3 Rs/unit) which takes my seemingly innocent meter reading of 49 units to a whopping 372 bucks!
