R we TheRe yeT? Book Pledge Day 38: Things I Like. Okay, so the biggest thing that bugs me about this book is that one of the things the character likes is watching TV. Now, there's no way the little one is gonna be watching TV anytime soon so to cast the idiot box in a favourable light totally irks me. Otherwise, the book has some good illustrations of what Baby NinJa likes too! Book Pledge Day 37: My Very First Book of Numbers. So Eric Carle has a numbers book! Book Pledge Day 36: Colours. Bad enough t...

R we TheRe yeT? I got to meet cousin Alannah this weekend.okay, 2nd cousin but who's keeping track? She gurgled to me and said hello! She's also helping Mummy and Daddy get used to the idea of a baby in the house. Daddy was surprised at the amount of time he has before I supposedly start crawling (*hint hint* Daddy, its not that long! Alannah's mummy and daddy brought me stuff.I have another board book now (Ten Little Fingers I think its called! I saw what Auntie Allie made me.it looks cool! The time it ...

R we TheRe yeT? Hello old friend.it's been awhile. How have you been? Have you been busy too? I'm sorry for being away for such a long time.life has happened. Kids, family, work.the usual everyday hamster wheel going round and round and round. A few days ago, we had my baby boy circumcised. Sure, the doctor says it's not really painful.and so do the nurses. Sure, there's literature saying that neonates have no recollection of why something hurts - they live in the here and now. I love you so much and I w...

R we TheRe yeT? Today calls for a post. It just does. Yesterday, I was very distracted with news of the hostage situation in Martin Place, Sydney. Today, I woke up to reading about how it ended in tragedy and about the two innocent lives lost in protecting other people. I couldn't help but recall the same horror that I felt watching 9-11 unfold so many years ago. So, so sad. So unbelievably sad. How do people fundamentally turn out so wrong? But most of all, help me love my child. Because any act bor...

R we TheRe yeT? Book Pledge Day 32: Tiger. Cute cute CUTE little board book with a kitten pretending to be a tiger. Love the illustrations and what the little kitty does that is so tiger-like but Baby NinJa got distracted by yesterday's book and was playing with Incy Wincy instead. So, lesson learnt - don't have 2 books out at once, even though one is somewhere else in the room where Baby NinJa can see it! Book Pledge Day 31: Incy Wincy Spider. How could we not love it? Book Pledge Day 30: Ten Frogs.

R we TheRe yeT? On Christmas Day, we get discharged and its time to bring baby home! So we pack her in the car, put her in her new car seat, and whizz back in the morning before it starts getting really hot. Before we know it, we're getting calls from hubby's parents, sister and brother in law and Nora and gang saying that they're bringing over lunch. So we put away all the stuff we brought back from the hospital and start getting ready to have visitors. Merry Christmas little one. On Monday the 20th, hu...

R we TheRe yeT? I know, I know.I really should change my blog title to 'Once in a Blue Moon Moo' at the rate I'm going! But really, it just makes each post all the more special.thank you to those of you who still read my blog and still make an effort to comment. I really appreciate you reaching out to say hello and connect. Secondly, this day a year ago, one of our friends very nearly became roadkill. We are thankful that she is still with us and kicking along (or maybe I should say, cycling along).

R we TheRe yeT? Book Pledge Day 68: Colours. This book must have some Japanese influence because this reminds me of those cute Japanese characters like Pikachu and Totoro. Good introduction with not too many colours. Book Pledge Day 67: Animals. I don't really know why Charlie and Lola are so popular but I did think a lot of funky cool art went into this book. A little different but still not bad a read. Book Pledge Day 66: Counting Peas. Book Pledge Day 65: Slinky Malinkis Christmas Crackers. One of our...

R we TheRe yeT? Ahhhit's been awhile since I've been blogging. Perhaps it's time to. Change from the Weekender Moo to the Once In A Blue Moon (if you're. Lucky) Moo. But regularly blogging is not the hardest thing. I'm sure there's going to be other things that come later that are. Hard but this seems insurmountable at the moment. I never thought that. This would be as hard as it is.but it is. I can't seem to bring myself to leave the house with baby. Life would stop once baby came. Can I do it? Ahhhalre...
