Friday, July 24, 2009. So being the absent blogger as of late, I never told you that Scooter, one of my guinea pigs was pregnant. Let's not mention that I thought she was a he. So about a month ago, when holding her I noticed how plump she was getting, did a bit of research and deduced that she was preggers. Then this morning I awoke to her and her four beautiful babies. Saturday, May 9, 2009. So one of my favorite authors, Jen Lancaster. Is going to be in Portland on May 18th at Powell's and I'm OH SO EXCITED! It's like she and I are soul sisters. I swear to god we could be evil twins. Anyhow.If you've not met her, watch this video clip. She's funny and snarky and sometimes a little mean. She cracks me up and I've LOVED all her books. I asked Mr. Tall for her newest, Pretty in Plaid. And that is all I have for now. I'm off to "be productive". May 9, 2009 at 6:44 PM.

Thursday, June 25, 2009. I've been taking a writing class (aimed at the emergent k-2 writer ) this week and have enjoyed it very much! I thought I'd share a piece of poetry that I had to write for the class. I'll share it in class tomorrow. Here it is, don't be too rough on me. OK? Blue is the sky and the crashing ocean waves. Blue is the taste of a sweet ripe blueberry. Blue is the innocence I see when I look into Olivia’s eyes or the feeling you get when you fail but try. Blue is indeed complex.

Friday, May 22, 2009. Oh so so tired. Awake at three in the morn. Is this part of age? Yeah, so what the hell is this all about? This is NOT the first time this has happened or I'd probably just take it all in stride. Whenever, and I'm saying 99% of the time I wake up after 3am I cannot fall back asleep. Then just about 5:00 (close to alarm time) I am ready to sleep. This is too much for me. I am a girl that needs her sleep. I'm sure that will help me sleep, right? Links to this post.
