On a cold winter’s day in Harvard Square, L.A. Burdick Chocolate shop teems with lovers, poets, university students and chocolate aficionados. Customers sip from dainty cups filled with liquid hot chocolate bearing such tantalizing descriptions as deep Brazilian with a smoky essence of vanilla and Madagascar with a undertones of lychee. I urge them to ask: What is the reality of small-scale family operations that form the backbone of the cacao industry? Designed by Yazmin Acevedo.

Saturday, 15 August 2015. From an early age Yazmin was inclined towards the Arts. Influenced by her family with poetry, architecture and sculpture. It was only natural for her to appreciate art in a way that now forms a part of her life. At the age of 14, she began her artistic career as a part of a group of muralists in Oakland, California. Yazmin's work can be found in the United States, Mexico, Africa and Europe.
