So what kind of event would I be going to, with this fantastic hat? Nope it's a friend's wedding! My fun friend John, is one of a kind. So, of course, his wedding had to be unique as well. When I got my invitation in the mail, it said "Ladies, don your best hats. Gentlemen, wear your best tuxedo t-shirt." No joke! Honestly, I think John scored big time!

Party Like a Rock Star. Nathan and Auntie Hoots Day of Fun! Sunday, October 4, 2009. Nathan and Auntie Hoot's Day of Fun! Yesterday, I had a "special date" with my nephew Nathan. I gave him a gift certificate for his birthday, and he got to decide what he wanted to do. We went to Rock City on Mt. Diablo to do some rock climbing and hiking. Perfect! Right up my alley! Went to the LA Temple to see the lights. On Saturday Hannah, Aaron, My Mom, Rik and myself went up to the LA Temple to see the display of Christmas lights. Due to the renovation of the visitors center they did not have a lighting ceremony, which ment that there was hardly anyone there. My kids loved it!

Party Like a Rock Star. Hooray for me being born! Tuesday, March 9, 2010. Hooray for me being born! Happy Birthday to ME! What a great birthday weekend I had. It started Saturday with dinner and an off-broadway show called "Shout" that was all 60's music. So entertaining! Thanks Mom and Dad. It was such a fun idea and great to spend time with family to celebrate! That day was also Grandma's birthday, and true to form, it was sunny and gorgeous! The Leaning Cake of Kristin! Party Like a Rock Star. Friday, October 29, 2010. I have often said that Tuolomne Meadows is what I envision heaven to be like for me. In July, my friend Kari and I took a great day hike to check out the waterfalls. The weather was perfect, the company was great, and the hike was just long enough to be a great adventure without being exhausting. And as usual, I was a pathological picture taker trying to capture my version of heaven. In fact, going through these pictures again makes me want to go back now!
