Year 3/4 St Chad's. Tuesday, 24 February 2015. For homework we researched why and how the Ancient Egyptians built the pyramids, then we built our own. There was a wonderful variety of construction materials and methods used. We even had two made from cake (and they were delicious! Thanks very much to everyone who helped in any way, we think you’ll agree, the results were impressive! We also recreated the Mask of Tutankhamun using oil pastels. Year 3/4 St Chad's. Tuesday, 24 February 2015. Investigating Digestion/Healthy Teeth Investigation. In Science we have been learning about teeth and the digestive system. We carried out an investigation into what substances were most harmful to teeth using boiled eggs (because the shell is similar to tooth enamel). We covered five eggs in toothpaste and put each one in either water, coke (diet and normal), milk or vinegar. Then we put them in the stock cupboard and left them for a week!
