Year 5 Class Blog. Sunday, 26 February 2012. Speaking and Listening Challenge. Last week, Year 5 pupils became storytellers! In groups of three, the children had been briefed to retell known myths or legends with only prompt cards to refer to! Without the support of visual aids, the children were hugely successful in engaging their audience through their use of descriptive vocabulary, expressive voices and body language. Their performances were thoroughly entertaining! Well done, Year 5.

Mrs Kelliher and the Eco-Team set all classes the challenge of raising money for the ‘Butterfly Garden’ being created on the School grounds. We decided that we would have a ‘Pyjama Day’ in Year 5 on Friday. Of course, we couldn’t wear our pyjamas for the class photograph in the morning but for most of the day, we lounged.
