The Gift of a 69th Year. Tuesday, April 21, 2015. Happy Birthday to Me! Today is my 69th birthday. It's the beginning of the 70th year but I will not call my blog "Year70." I am thinking about a new title for a new year. I sang, played the organ, learned about art, and read lots of books. I blogged and will "publish" this blog on Blog2Print for my own memories. I lit a candle at the Grotto this morning with prayers for my own mental health and strength and the ability to live with joy and to serve others.

The Gift of a 69th Year. Friday, September 26, 2014. On Wednesday I blogged about being a bit bored and restless. I couldn't get motivated to do much of anything. I had nothing scheduled for Thursday either except a dinner with Jim at night to use a gift certificate with a deadline of Saturday. We did not have that dinner. I cancelled our reservation from the ER where Jim was being treated for very severe pain, so severe that he was in danger of fainting in his office. Wednesday, September 24, 2014.

This morning between ten and twelve, I made over 35 phone calls as a volunteer for the Joe Bock for Congress campaign. I was recruited by Joe's wife earlier this week and in my empathy for her, I said , "Yes, I will try it once.". It was interesting to see how a phone bank is run.
