Above the bar in Barranco. Market off the main street. Light fixtures at Green Organic. Delicious food at Green Organic. Locals’ street market. Remains of th...

Finding myself through worldly wanderings. December 29, 2013. Phuket, what a different experience! Trying to get a bike and me selfie. Then I followed signs to the Big Buddah statue and decided to drive up all the way to the top of the hill where he is perched. It was quite a drive; steep, beautiful, and I passed a few Elephant rides along the way. The people of Thailand are very sweet and many speak English. Driving a scooter around ended up being quite enjoyable and I don’t know how I would h...I enjoy...

Finding myself through worldly wanderings. I’m in love and it’s name is Bruges (Brugge). December 9, 2013. It also made me wonder why more people don’t know it’s greatness. This is a city that holds some very impressive art, a Michelangelo statue of the Holy Mother and Child, Last Judgement by Hieronymus Bosch (if you don’t know his work, I highly recommended Googling it! I discovered that just down the street at the Church of Our Lady there was a Michelangelo statue and a painting by Carravagio so I hea...

Finding myself through worldly wanderings. Growth Doesn’t Have to Stop at Home. February 26, 2014. For instance, I’ve been meaning/trying to learn how to drive stick for years and have failed miserably until a few weeks ago. My patient friend Adrienne and her husband Cary finally got me driving their manual transmission car. And we also went to a beginners rock climbing class. Someday I’d love to go rock climbing outdoors, but this was a great start! Preparation for Peace Corps. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

https://bethanyfoundwandering.wordpress.com/2013/10/11/edinburgh-and-the-isle-of-skye
Finding myself through worldly wanderings. Edinburgh and the Isle of Skye. October 11, 2013. So I’ve decided to move to Scotland and become an author. Sounds reasonable, right? It was stolen from Scotland by the King Edward I in 1296 and taken to Westminster where it remained until 1950...

New Zealand | Found, Wandering
https://bethanyfoundwandering.wordpress.com/2014/01/22/new-zealand
Finding myself through worldly wanderings. January 22, 2014. Silver fern, a symbol for New Zealand. The next cave was the famous Glowworm cave in which the last half of the tour you ride on a boat with the glowworms covering the cave above you before reaching the mouth leading out. This was the section of the caves that appeared in Lord of the Rings. It was beautiful. We had a very different, thermal-pool-less, day the following day when we went to Hobbiton! Recreation of Maori village. Lord of the Rings.
