Green Goodness Smoothie | A Year in the Kitchen
https://yearinkitchen.wordpress.com/2013/01/07/green-goodness-smoothie
A Year in the Kitchen. Just another WordPress.com weblog. As part of this renewed healthy eating, I returned to my morning smoothie. It typically involves spinach and berries. However, with a nod to switching things up and a jump onto the kale train, I decided to try to recreate my favourite smoothie from our neighbourhood Whole Foods. And here is where the spending wisely part comes in as this recipe rings in a whole lot cheaper than the WF version. 3/4 cup apple juice. 1 handful of kale (stems removed).

A Year in the Kitchen. Just another WordPress.com weblog. Granny’s Soda Bread. In honour of St. Patrick’s Day, I decided to whip up a loaf of my granny’s Irish soda bread. This is the first true “family recipe” that I have shared here and one of my most used recipes. Which brings me to my top 4 ways for eating this soda bread:. 1) Fresh out of the oven, just plain. 2) Slathered in butter. 3) With a slice of Dubliner cheese. 4) Topped with a teaspoon of blackberry jam. Granny’s Soda Bread. Laquo; Previous...

A Year in the Kitchen. Just another WordPress.com weblog. Granny’s Soda Bread (Repost). Happy Saint Patrick’s Day! In honour of the day, I thought I’d repost my favourite Irish recipe, which I originally posted. For St. Patrick’s Day back in 2009: my Granny’s Irish Soda Bread. As a yeast-less bread, this comes together in less than an hour start to finish. Short of a pint of Guinness (with a bit of Ribena. Is my fave), this bread slathered with butter is the perfect way to celebrate your Irish roots!

Sailing Away from the Safe Harbor
Sailing Away from the Safe Harbor. Thursday, June 9, 2011. Northern Thailand (Chiangmai and Pai). And that same day, we were joined by two Canadian guys on the minivan to Phuket, and they were completely wasted drunk, loud, and rude. I was embarrassed for them! It was a warm day, and both ...
