https://weekofbeer.wordpress.com/2012/11/13/week-of-beer-november-13-2012
My weekly thoughts on craft beer…. Week of Beer – November 13, 2012. November 13, 2012. Yes, yet another new craft beer blog by me. After starting my beer writing with an almost monthly pint of knowledge. And not quite finishing my year of beer. I’ve recently moved to Fairfield County, Connecticut, so my posts will focus on mostly on beers available in this area (not necessarily brewed locally, but can be purchased here), and places and events nearby (Southern / Western CT, Westchester, NYC mostly).

2006 year of beauty
2006 year of beauty. Sunday, November 19, 2006. What I learned in church today. Now, for those of you not so evangelically inclined, please don't mistake my Bible quotin' for some new slant on this blog. The following are the scriptures read at Mass today:. 22 Immediately (after Jesus fed the multitude he)made the disciple...

The Year of Being Free | Liberating myself from stuff, kind of
The Year of Being Free. Liberating myself from stuff, kind of. Being Free (sort of). June 30, 2015. I love food, but I don’t love shopping for food. But I shop there, because they have a great selection of locally produced microbrews. But they make me crazy with their goddamn club card. They ask me for mine every time I go in, and every time I say I forgot mine (true; I switch purses constantly) and ask if they can swipe one for me. That used to work most of the time. 8220;Well, does someone. Guillermo d...

The Year of Becoming… Lithe | A middle-aged woman's struggle to shed the pounds, cut out the booze and live a life she loves..
The Year of Becoming Lithe. A middle-aged woman's struggle to shed the pounds, cut out the booze and live a life she loves. Why I choose the word LITHE…. June 11, 2015. I called my blog The Year of Becoming Lithe, as it’s a journey I am on with the goal of litheness. Its simplicity appeals. I confess I do feel very leaden, lumpy and not at all LITHE at the moment for lots of reasons; physical, emotional, mental and spiritual too many to mention! And am not too keen either on ‘spare’ (spare part? I have r...

2016: the year of spaciousness. Because there's more to life than work. February 16, 2016. Why is noticing nature important? We’re all busy. It doesn’t matter if we only notice nature at weekends or on the telly on Countryfile, does it? February 15, 2016. Strong northerly breeze keeping temperatures well below zero all day today. I’m still getting over a bad chest infection from last week, so nature was absorbed today either at a remove through the car window, or in quick dashes between the car...The lig...
The Year of Belief - A non-believer spends a year exploring spiritual belief
The Year of Belief. A non-believer spends a year exploring spiritual belief. What do YOU believe? What I Believe (Tof, writer and scholar). Tof is a writer and scholar who lives with zir wife, toddler, and geriatric cat in Florida, USA. 1 What are your spiritual beliefs? I am a skeptic. But the deepest and most powerful part of my skepticism is auto-skepticism: I am skeptical of my own skepticism and try never to let it get in the way of investing things with meaning. I am a practicing occultist. I belie...
