A Christian is a person who accepted Christ where as for the non-Christians, their religion could be Buddhist, Islam, Hindu and etc. Non-believer" is a word that is slightly harsh compared to non-Christian but the meaning of that word is the same as non-Christian. Pretty pissed I guess but is it necessary for a Christian to say that?
