문화공간 예곡’의 운영자 전희관씨는 직장생활을 하다가 도시생활을 접고 고향으로 돌아 온 사람입니다. 옥천군 청산면 지전리가 고향인 전씨는 고향에 돌아와서 자신이 할 수 있는 일을 찾아 나섰습니다. 우선 폐교를 찾아 다녔지요. 굳이 폐교를 찾게 된 것은 전씨의 아내가 미술가이기 때문에 아내의 작업 공간을 마련해주고 싶은 마음에서였고, 또 오래전부터 꿈꾸어 오던 자신의 사업을 펼치기 위해서였습니다. 건강에 대한 소중함이 무엇보다 중요한 요즘, 천연 염색을 직접 배워서 여러 가지 가정용소품을 만들어 보는 체험(소요시간: 2시간, 단체 가족 가능). 자연의 이치를 알 수 있도록 직접 농사를 지어 수확을 하는 자연 학습과 주변의 자연물을 활용한 미술 창작 활동(소요시간: 7시간 단체 가족 가능). 주말자연미술학교가 열린 날 아이들이 옥수수가 자라는 밭으로 이동하고 있다. 옥수수 수확을 한 아이들이 따온 옥수수를 손질하고 있다. 삼삼오오 모여앉아 천연염색 체험에 열중인 아이들.
