It could be this, it could be that, it could be this and that. Your body becomes slick with sweat. Breath comes in shallow pants. In an effort to calm yourself you hold your breath. Heart still pounding in your ears deafeningly. The breath is released. You take the final step, that one last hurdle. To your surprise all seems fine, normal. You go on your way.
