Monday, July 11, 2011. Cliff Palace, Mesa Verde. I stopped by Mesa Verde this morning to see the cliff dwellings. A 23 mile road to get to the site that would be great for motorcycles except for all of the slow moving RV's. I could have easily spent the whole day here but only had time to visit the Cliff Palace site. Hey Kirk, I found one of those neck cooler bandanna things. It works great. Sunday, July 10, 2011. Am I colorful enough. I left Dodge City at 5:30am. The clouds were threatening but no rain, yet. I watched the sun come up in my rear view mirror. I stopped for an all you can eat breakfast just after crossing into Colorado. I've been listening to Moby Dick on my GPS's mp3 player since I left Virginia. It ended just as I hit the Rocky Mountain foot hills and switched to the Beatles "Long and Winding Road". Later when I ran into rain it started playing "Yellow Submarine".
