10 months post-cross planet relocation | From America to Australia, and back again!
https://melbournebound.wordpress.com/2013/11/15/10-months-post-cross-planet-relocation
From America to Australia, and back again! November 15, 2013. 10 months post-cross planet relocation. Ten months. I realized it yesterday and the thoughts that came to my mind were all over the place. I feel farther away from Australia than ever, distance and time-wise. And am I settled? I don’t know. I guess more than at the 6 month mark, but still Denver just feels like…Denver. What does that mean? I know, get over it already! Laquo; Autumn afternoon. From a total stranger to you: I get it! People who ...

From America to Australia, and back again! October 19, 2013. The calendar says October. I have pumpkins outside my house and (opened) bags of Halloween candy in my kitchen pantry. So why, oh why was there snow on the ground this morning? The sun came out and the snow melted by the early afternoon, but still. It’s October! Living in Melbourne, they often would say, “if you don’t like the weather, wait 5 minutes! 8221; and “four seasons in a day” so I guess I should be used to this, right? October 3, 2013.

The blinks, the winks, the stares, the giggles, the frowns ,the yawns and the rest. Wednesday, July 27, 2011. That would top my “list of questions you would like to ask the Aussies”. I did ask the question to an Aussie and he laughed and said “I have it for breakfast everyday”.Yes , ofcourse. Why not peanut butter or nutella or just plain butter? And yes, I saw kangaroos :-D. The blinks, the winks, the stares, the giggles, the frowns ,the yawns and the rest. Wednesday, February 1, 2012. On a rather low gear ;-). Now that I have shifted to a new job, my site visit days are behind me .So no more of the 2-night stands (with rental cars that is) I am definitely going to miss those days. The blinks, the winks, the stares, the giggles, the frowns ,the yawns and the rest. Monday, October 24, 2011. Vacation - what else could I name it? For the first 17 years of my life, the word vacation had only one meaning – the onam ,Christmas and summer vacations from school. Then came the 4 years in college where vacation meant the rather long and lazy breaks between semesters where I would forget all that I learned during the previous semester and start afresh. 8221; brooding during the return flight .

The blinks, the winks, the stares, the giggles, the frowns ,the yawns and the rest. Tuesday, March 6, 2012. Bad weird - you are standing right next to your colleague discussing some serious stuff and your stomach makes a low rumbling sound (the kind it makes when you are hungry) .You can only hope that your colleague is partially deaf. Happy weird - You meet someone from college after 6 long years and just carry on as if you got back to hostel after the semester vacation. March 7, 2012 at 5:22 AM. Happy weir...

The blinks, the winks, the stares, the giggles, the frowns ,the yawns and the rest. Wednesday, November 16, 2011. Of fire alarms and Google. From here on the husband will be referred to as TH to save me some typing since he is making more than a cameo appearance in this one. So TH removed the battery. The chance of a real fire happening when our alarm was down and out against the very depressing thought of losing more sleep in case it started to beep again – we took the risk and went to sleep again. Further ...
