http://inreallifewithjamiejo.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
WOTH Articles by Jamie Jo. Thursday, December 20, 2012. Not Good-bye, But. Why do I always resist change, even when I know something good is up ahead? I think my dh is right when he accuses me of thinking too much. 2012 was a year of changes. Most recently we changed mission organizations. After twenty years with the same group, we have joined another one that more closely fits who we are and what we do. It is a good change, and God has confirmed that we have made the right decision. Instead of feeding a...

Just like that last paragraph, my day is full of rabbit trails and scatterbrained sidetracking. PE is worth menti...

IRL*in real life with Jamie Jo: Stifling ... Contradictions
http://inreallifewithjamiejo.blogspot.com/2012/10/stifling-contradictions.html
WOTH Articles by Jamie Jo. Wednesday, October 10, 2012. Stifling . Contradictions. Ah, the satisfaction of a good healthy sneeze. My mom, bless her heart, tends to sneeze embarrassingly loud with a lusty WA-HOO! And consequently I've spent a lifetime trying to stifle mine. In case you’ve never tried this, it’s painful to swallow a sneeze, and inevitably it results in a high-pitched hiccuppy squeak that sound more like "tee-ew" than "kerchoo," which is equally embarrassing to offspring. I mean, I gave a.

Spangles: Pesto Pesto Pesto!
http://lizspangler.blogspot.com/2014/02/pesto-pesto-pesto.html
Tuesday, February 11, 2014. Isn't pesto one of the most splendid sauces? Which amounts to me having an allergy of pine nuts that results in all food tasting like metal for about a week after eating pine nuts. Truth be told, I love pine nuts, but I have not eaten them since that incident. We usually shop at a wonderful place call WinCo. Onward to Fred Meyer. And so we found ourselves a pine nut free pesto recipe in Sylvia Sebastiani's Mangiamo. And proceeded like this:. 1 to 2 sprigs parsley. Combine basi...

Friday, January 31, 2014. Frittata with Leeks and Herbs. This was a super simple dish from The World Kitchen. White and tender green parts only. Salt and freshly ground pepper. Mixed minced fresh flat-leaf parsley, basil, and mint. Freshly grated Parmesan cheese. Melt the butter in an ovenproof 10-inch skillet over medium heat. Add the leeks, season with salt and pepper, and cook, stirring, until softened, about 15 minutes. You may need to reduce the heat to keep the leeks from browning too much. Recipe ...

Tuesday, January 28, 2014. The Italian Wine Case. Oh boy oh boy do we enjoy wine! My parents raised me to appreciate many of the finer things in life, and wine is high on that list. So of course an integral part of our culinary questing is wine. We have been investigating and trying a variety of options for purchasing wine, and one we have particularly enjoyed is Virgin Wines. Which brings me to The Italian Case. Collezione di Paolo Chianti. Villa Farnia di Farnese Montepulciano. View my complete profile.
