Dented Thimble Quilting: February 2010
http://dentedthimblequilting.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 23, 2010. Eat, Quilt, Laugh. With lots of good food and laughter the weekend flies by. Even so, I am always surprised at how much I can accomplish. I had planned to make the 1800's doll quilt. They don't look so small in the picture above, but look at the picture below: The 6 3/4 inch center block alone has 81 pieces! This is one I would like to make again. It would be fun to use 2 1/2 inch strips to make a larger baby size quilt. And another of us already had Collaborative Quilting.

Live Well, Laugh Often, Love Much. Friday, January 31, 2014. Don't you just love this charming old house? With the red nandina bushes touched by the sun as it settles towards its nightly rest. This house has a history. Located just east of our public library it is a Henley family home and now owned by Don Henley of The Eagles. Sam and I were blessed to spend a few days with the grandson while their mother was out of the country with her job. What colors be ye a flyin'? Wellbirthday girl preferred to run ...

Live Well, Laugh Often, Love Much. Friday, November 1, 2013. The Judge knew I was dressing in Harley gear, but she was out most of the day. When she walked in and saw me, she just shook her head. She said that in one of her meetings she saw one of the district judges. He told her a tattooed biker chick was running her office. :D. Sunday, October 27, 2013. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Live Well, Laugh Often, Love Much. Friday, October 18, 2013. Winter is coming on and the days are shorter. Where just a few weeks ago, it was daylight when I woke, now it is dark. It is still dark after I am dressed and ready for work. I walked into the kitchen this morning for breakfast. As I passed through, I saw the red glow of the rising sun through the trees on the east side of the house. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Hits since June 2008. A very exciting opportunity I could NOT let pass. Texas A and M.

Live Well, Laugh Often, Love Much. Thursday, June 5, 2014. We had a wonderful weekend! Isabel and her mother came for a visit. :D We had frogs in the pool, so of course had to have a frog rescue. It was strictly catch and release - catch out of the pool to release in the pond. (There are SIX in the cup! I can get this one! I expected her to go in, but she didn't.she didn't catch the frog either. Time for some water dipping.and pouring. Pawpaw supervises from the sidelines. A word about the pool. It l...

July 28, 2015. No I didn’t buy any red fabrics. I used some stash fabris to start my new project, tulips. I’ve utilized most of my scraps and had to supplement stash fabrics. Again I’ve used a dot fabric as my background. You can never have too many dots! Side two of my strawberries has been completed. After remeasuring I found it only needed one row of geese. I like that it’s not balanced because the other side isn’t either. Have a Wonderful day, Brandie. One thought on “ New Reds. Notify me of new comm...

August 11, 2015. After a stressful week I finally got to sit down at my sewing machine and try to work through my stress. It helped a bit but I’m back in the thick of it again, it was a short lived fix. But enough about that, lets talk tulips. It’s a finish! I actually like the back of the quilt better than the front. I guess I’m not ready for all that color. I showed my unfinished tops at my guild meeting and our quilt show layout boss asked me to please put one of my reversible quilts in the show. ...

July 30, 2015. July 30, 2015. Yesterday morning I received a call from my LQS, my batting had arrived. I braved the blistering heat to go retrieve this most needed item. My roll of batting and I arrived home after a quick purchase of more dots (more about these beauties later). Quick as a flash I had all the packaging removed and the batting between my two quilts. Super quickly quilted straighted lines. Say that three times fast! Straight lines and I will be seeing more of each other! Leave a Reply Cance...

72 derwents: November 2012
http://72derwents.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 4, 2012. I had the loveliest day recently. Judy Newman of A Very Fine House. Came down to the Peninsula to run a class on making her beautiful Museum Medallion. Quilt at Treehouse Textiles. I love a scrappy (not too-co-ordinated) look, so it was fun to raid the shelves of both Amitie and the Treehouse, as well as my humble stash, to come up with a shoebox full of fabrics for piecing. No shortage now. O ff to a grea t s tart. And going well, until . Re tracing the off ending template and ...

72 derwents: Down Under Doll Quilt Swap Round 3
http://72derwents.blogspot.com/2012/10/down-under-doll-quilt-swap-round-3.html
Monday, October 8, 2012. Down Under Doll Quilt Swap Round 3. I've just taken part in the third round of the DUDQS. To explain the concept of this to anyone who doesn't either quilt or blog is a bit of a challenge. "Well it's this weird kind of cyber-photo-sharing-friendship-quilting group. Get it? Take 1 : far too traditional, was scrapped. Take 2: I liked the idea of using the dark grey to create a kind of window frame. October 9, 2012 at 2:21 PM. Your partner will love it xo.
