Inspired by the design style of Todd Hemker. I've been playing around with adding some texture to the character and/or the background. Yeah todds stuff is gorgeous.at times reminds me of lane smith. I like the bottom bg texture and wonder if you can even create MORE space with layers of receding squares.with black hornrimmed glasses. These are awesome design! The man of many Blogs! Holy wow, this stuff is gorgeous! That animation is timed soooo well. If i had extra money laying around I would fund you.

Rather than traditionally created botanical illustrations they wanted realistic, very clean, vector graphics to go along with the overall look of the 2 page spread.
