D!M: Dirt Zvuk
http://daeitmasel.blogspot.com/2007/06/dirt-zvuk.html
Sorry to break with tradition here, but the blog's been getting very ambient and folksy, so to keep up the JUNKY side of things here's a glimpse into yesterday's record bag - with no thoughts of mixing or continuity or anything technical - I've selected a few tracks which went down well last night. There's something old, something new, something borrowed and something brainmelting. So with out further a do:. God Put A Smile Upon Your Face - Mark Ronson. Pump It Up (Dirt Zvuk Edit) - Elvis Costello.

kid with the chemical: Marmite band #1: Glasvegas
http://kidwiththechemical.blogspot.com/2008/06/marmite-band-1-glasvegas.html
Sunday, 29 June 2008. Marmite band #1: Glasvegas. Spot on production taking influence from Phil Spector, The Ronettes, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Surf-pop. Tight, melodic, rhythmical band. They look like a gang - all black clothing will always look cool. Frontman James Allan used to be a professional footballer - some career change that, lad. They have at least four amazing songs - see 'Daddy's Gone', 'Flowers and the Football Tops', 'I'm Gonna Get Stabbed', 'Geraldine'. Their name is shite.
