Moments ago, I witnessed one of the most awe-inspiring natural scenes I have ever seen, standing in complete awe, as a flock of well over a thousand geese passed overhead! My vantage point could not have been better; standing on the balcony belonging to a friend, overlooking dramatic, rain-heavy skies draped in golden sunset light, the massive flock passed straight above the house, heading eastwards over the waters. Reality is harsh to the feet of shadows. The idea is to start blogging here on a regular basis. My wife and I created this blog soon after settling into this new house but we never really got into a blogging routine. As much as I think it's silly that people use January 1st as a day to start new habits (or make resolutions) I'm glad that it is a tradition. Sometimes people just need to wake up. January 1st seems to be a good day for that. I'm writing while I'm tired, and that always means loose ends.
