Novel-gazing (2) - its a vain pursuit but it helps me to sleep. Sep 22nd, 2014. I write to you from the. Sleepy town of Crescent City, California, where a foghorn duels with sea lions for auditory supremacy, about a half-marathon south of the Oregon border. I'm road-trippin' up to Portland to visit a friend/ex, and leaving of 100,000 words of novel in stasis for the trip's duration. No, literally: its current word count is 66,666 words. I couldn't resist. But that particular era of planetary transformati...

Okay, I have literally been unable to post lj comments on OTHER - Lapsed Modernist. December 27th, 2011. December 27th, 2011 11:26 am (UTC). I have problems posting replies and comments from Opera (both on my phone and from my laptop) . My best guess is that the new comment button is a proprietary widget (like a Flash object) or a piece of non-standard HTML (a so-called browser extension) that was introduced by Microsoft and doesn't work very well on browsers that aren't Intermet Explorer. Just checked t...

Phew - Slightly mythical at the best of times

Phew - Slightly mythical at the best of times. March 14th, 2013. 12:48 am - Phew. I'm exhausted, and it's all the Pope's fault. No, really, it is. For once, I'd escaped from work early, and headed over to the gym, not even thinking about the goings-on in Rome. I climbed onto the exercise bike, switched the control panel to show BBC News - and discovered that there was white smoke already! I had to keep pedalling. The windows opened, and Cardinal Tauran stepped out to announce the decision. The world ...

Niblet Theater: Doing Better Than Your Parents Edition - Things, and stuff
http://dogofthefuture.livejournal.com/289243.html
Things, and stuff. Niblet Theater: Doing Better Than Your Parents Edition. Nov 12th, 2010 at 7:44 PM. I know, it's been a while. Shaddap. NIBLET has just finished most of his dinner, followed by a fairly involved discussion of why Niblet isn't getting dessert despite eating much of his dinner. Niblet is doing his very best to hold it together to continue arguing his case before the Court of Dada. But I have Halloween candy! I know, and eventually you'll get to eat it. You got some. Yes, your cruel, cruel...

I bet this is an iPhone app by now. Why hasn't this happened yet? Do you want to write the code for it, maybe not for Google Calendar but for some other equivalent program? PS Here is a post I liked very much. About how we should just get the fuck over ourselves and start talking openly about menstruation in society as a whole. I would not have necessarily made this a public post without having read that. But why filter this? Posted on Sep. 9th, 2009 at 10:55 am. I was thinking this just the other day!
