For today’s VeganMoFo challenge, we are to do a “Holiday Test Run” and this year we have decided to make a Wellington. Not a pair of waterproof boots, but a roast wrapped in duxelles and puff pastry. 225g vital wheat gluten. 1 tsp dried rosemary. 1 tsp dried oregano. 1 tsp garlic powder. 1 tsp onion powder. But they’re cakey brownies – which I think are great, but there’s always room for more than one type of brownie! These brownies are fudgy, gooey, sticky, and indulgent – mmm! But you could also jazz them up with walnuts or dried cherries if those take your fancy! Yeah, weird right? 1 tsp vanilla extract.

Between work, other commitments, and an energetic Lab (who I'm pretty sure would play fetch until passing out), there isn't much time left for baking on weekdays. Solution? These bars are super fast and basically impossible to mess up (disclaimer: this is not a guarantee). 1/2 cup organic brown sugar. 1 cup unbleached all purpose flour. I mean, how do you say no to that face? These sound so good.
