YMCA Project Guatemala: What Guatemala Taught Me

http://ymcaprojectguatemala.blogspot.com/2015/04/what-guatemala-taught-me.html

Friday, 3 April 2015. What Guatemala Taught Me. There has not been a blog since we've returned from our trip, so I felt that it was necessary to share with you all the impact our trip to Guatemala had on my life. I hope it gives you somewhat of a perspective on the impact of this project and that it serves a reminder that we wouldn't have accomplished this without your support. What moments should be shared? What can I share without rambling on and boring them? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

YMCA Project Guatemala: March 2015

http://ymcaprojectguatemala.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html

Tuesday, 3 March 2015. How do you feel now that we leave in 3 days? And I don't think I am. I don't believe you can ever really be ready for something like this. It's going to be life changing and no matter how many pairs of socks I pack, it's still gonna be a touch adjustment. All in all I'm so excited for Guatemala and I can't wait to board the plane! The reality that I'm leaving for Guatemala in 3 days is finally sinking in! What going though Morgan's brain). I can't wait to go! It's a snow day!

YMCA Project Guatemala: Moving forward

http://ymcaprojectguatemala.blogspot.com/2015/04/moving-forward.html

Saturday, 11 April 2015. It's been about two weeks since I returned from Guatemala. The adjustment has been rather strange. Getting used to the food, getting into my school routine, and adjusting to having my friends around. All in all this project had an amazing impact on me. I'm more confident, understanding, and ambitious. But what else would you expect from a trip like this? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. My biggest dreams come true. YMCA Project Guatemala: Reality Check

http://ymcaprojectguatemala.blogspot.com/2015/04/reality-check.html

Friday, 10 April 2015. Where do I even start to explain the impact YPG has had on my life. I didn’t realize how much the year before the trip would affect me. I have definitely grown in my own leadership and created friends that I will have forever. So these where some of my trip experiences in a nut shell. Overall this project was a reality check for what kind of person I aspire to be in life and has shown me that I can really set my mind to do anything. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

YMCA Project Guatemala: November 2014

http://ymcaprojectguatemala.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html

Wednesday, 26 November 2014. These past couple of weeks have been really great in terms of fundraising. The Lincoln event, comedy night, personal donations, and business donations have brought in a lot of money! I am also really grateful to the teachers at my school, my parents colleagues, and my family friends. They have all contributed to this project in generous ways - whether that is through donations, buying our t-shirts and sweaters, or attending our events. Tuesday, 18 November 2014. Especially wi...

YMCA Project Guatemala: Confidence and Joy

http://ymcaprojectguatemala.blogspot.com/2015/04/confidence-and-joy.html

Saturday, 11 April 2015. I honestly can’t believe that a year has passed since I joined YPG. This year has been filled with amazing experiences and memories that mean so much to me. I don’t think I can express how much this experience has meant to me in words, but I’ll try. There are two very important things I have gotten out of the project that I hope I will never lose and never forget. One of these important things is confidence in myself. Another important thing I got out of the project was simply joy.

YMCA Project Guatemala: The small things..

http://ymcaprojectguatemala.blogspot.com/2015/04/the-small-things.html

Saturday, 11 April 2015. I know it's been said before, but I really don't know how to start this blog. This entire year has been a blur to me because of how much we did and how much we have changed. It truly has been an amazing experience to be able to take part in this project. I can't even begin to count the amount of times in a day that I will just have the goofiest smile on my face! YMCA Project Guatemala: October 2014

http://ymcaprojectguatemala.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html

Wednesday, 22 October 2014. We’re getting closer to the end of the month, and still need a couple thousand to reach our goal. I’m confident that we’ll make it. This past week, Alora, Nevia, Zainab and I had a meeting with our school principal to discuss some fundraising strategies. We planned on having another buyout, as it’s by far the easiest way to make money; but that idea got shot down. Also, we talked about having a bake sale on Halloween. It reminded me of the camp-out. Hopefully they work out!
