Text was hard to follow and many of her theories I would have to disagree on, but she presented her thoughts in a way that laid out her opinions and led you to question the theories presented. Applemans. Text presented a lot of opinions that I agreed with and presented a lot more interesting questions to consider. I liked how Wilhelm presented reading a...

Still and all, why bother? Here's my answer. Many people need desperately to receive this message: I feel and think much as you do, care about many of the things you care about, although most people do not care about them. You are not alone. The year was 2081, and everyone was finally equal. What is flirtatiousness but an argument that life must go on? Sunday, November 11, 2007. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Thursday, November 29, 2007. Group Reflection- The Bell Jar. Overall I think our presentation went great. Lauren started off with a good introduction. Although there were some minor technical difficulties, the video was a great way to give some background on Sylvia Plath. This video and introduction was also a great sedge way. Lauren Griff: The Giver Review
http://laurengriff.blogspot.com/2007/12/giver-review.html
Saturday, December 8, 2007. Isn't it interesting how the methods of teaching affect how a text is perceived and understood? I keep thinking back to when I taught The Old Man and the Sea (one of my favorite books) and failed miserably because none of my students enjoyed the text. I couldn't believe it! Looking back, I see my methodology for teaching this text was flawed in that was dependent too much on my enthusiam for the book. December 10, 2007 at 8:35 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Wednesday, December 12, 2007. Sunday, December 9, 2007. The whiskey on your breath. Could make a small boy dizzy;. But I hung on like death. Such waltzing was not easy. We romped until the pans. Slid from the kitchen shelf;. My mother’s countenance. Could not unfrown itself. The hand that held my wrist. Was battered on one knuckle;. At every step you missed. My right ear scraped a buckle. You beat time on my head. With a palm caked hard by dirt,. Then waltzed me off to bed. Still clinging to your shirt.

You gotta be the book: Violent Cases
http://fall07eglish480.blogspot.com/2007/11/violent-cases.html
Tuesday, November 27, 2007. I'm interested in your reservation about Marxist theory because it changed your opinion of the book. I'm not entirely sure it's a bad thing. Isn't it that one of the reasons we introduce theory into the classroom - to give students tools to look at their texts differently? November 29, 2007 at 6:36 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
