Cooked, rinsed and drained lentils. 2 tsp olive oil. 1 medium onion, chopped. 1/3 cup vegan mayonnaise (Earth Island Veganaise, organic). Purée 30 seconds for a smooth spread. Chick Pea of the Sea spread. 2 cups cooked chick peas (garbanzo beans) rinsed and drained. 1/4 cup lemon juice =juice of one lemon. 1 Tbsp nutritional yeast. Salt and pepper to taste. Optional 1/2 cup chopped green or white onion. Add first 5 ingredients to a bowl and mix. Add nutritional yeast and mix. Mash with potato masher or with a spoon against the side of the bowl.
